Treatment of Acne Scars |

Over
the last several years, lasers have assumed an increasingly

lasers were used to sculpt or vaporize the skin's surface. Due to
lengthy downtime and potential complications, ablative procedures
have become less common, in favor of non-ablative fractional laser treatments. These
lasers have the ability to promote new collagen generation in the
dermis of the skin causing a significant flattening of depressed
acne scars.
The
Cynosure Affirm utilizes two
distinct laser wavelengths fired sequentially to
target
all layers of of the skin to optimize collagen production. Since lower energy levels can be
delivered to the skin without compromising effectiveness, patient
discomfort is significantly decreased while the healing process is
rapidly accelerated.
