Medical Grade Chemical Peels |

SkinMedica
Vitalize™ Peel
Chemical peels
are topically applied formulas that help renew the skin surface by
creating an even and controlled shedding of the skin cells. This
reveals fresh, new layers of healthy skin, creating a brighter
appearance and smoother texture to the skin surface. A peel can
improve sun damage, acne scarring, blotchy pigmentation, and fine
lines. A peel can also improve acne-prone skin and clogged pores.

What is a Vitalize Peel?
|
| |
|
The Vitalize
Peel®
from SkinMedica brings the benefits of alpha-hydroxy and
retinoic
acids to deliver a gentle peel with many corrective benefits.
You will
notice an improvement in your skin’s texture and tone,
diminished fine lines and a healthier, more youthful appearance.
The Vitalize Peel®
has been clinically proven to help fade pigmentation problems
(such as age spots, acne scars, sun damage) and stimulate collagen
production. The Vitalize Peel®
is safe and effective for all skin types. |

How
many treatments will I need? |
| |
|
Dramatic
results are achieved in a series of peels although an improvement
can be seen after only one treatment. The Vitalize Peel®
is gentle enough to use every three weeks for maximum benefits and
a glowing, healthy start to your skin care regimen. |

|
What
happens immediately after my treatment? |
| |
|
You may be
more sensitive to sun exposure immediately following your
treatment. Take extra precaution by using a sunscreen with an
SPF 20 or higher. We recommend limiting sun exposure for at
least one week after your peel. |

|
Obagi Blue Peel™
How
is the Obagi Blue Peel different than a TCA peel? |
| |
|
Because TCA is
a clear aqueous solution, over painting and uneven
penetration can easily occur leading to unsatisfactory
results. The Blue Peel is a unique procedure enhancing
control of the depth of TCA. The blue mixing base helps to
ensure consistent results. |
|
What should be expected
during recovery?
Depending on the strength and
depth following the procedure, you will experience light
swelling. Within two to three days, your skin will begin to
peel. This peeling continues over the next several days. By
the seventh to tenth day, your skin should be healed.
Once your skin has completely recovered and is finished
peeling, you will notice a visible improvement in your
complexion. Your skin's appearance should continue to
improve for the next four to six weeks, becoming firmer,
clearer, smoother, healthier and more youthful looking.
